ABOUT
Based in the beautiful village of Blockley in the North Cotswolds, we are a small and friendly ladies choir who currently meet on Tuesday afternoons at the Little Village Hall in Blockley. We welcome Esther Bersweden as our new Musical Director who joined us in January 2025.
Blockley Ladies Choir performs a wide variety of music avoiding the large scale choral works. We generally put on 'themed' concerts twice a year at local halls or churches using material drawn from a range of genres including musical theatre, popular, classical and folk song. The choir also performs with other local groups and sometimes performs informally for family and friends.
JOIN US
We are always happy to welcome new members. There are no auditions and being able to read music is not necessary. We just ask for a commitment to the choir and a love of singing. We sing in three parts: Soprano 1, Soprano 2 and Alto – and our Musical Director will guide you to the right part for your voice.

Blockley Ladies Choir are looking to recruit a new accompanist. You will need to work with our musical director accompanying the choir on a weekly basis and for one or two concerts during the year. We currently meet on Tuesday afternoons with a break in the summer and at Christmas. We have between 20 - 30 members and sing an eclectic mix of songs so we are looking for someone who can cover all genres of music.
Ideally we would like someone to start in September 2025.
This is a paid position.
